Brian Taffe is an anchor and reporter at Philadelphia's WPVI. Brian has been blessed with an incredible set of pipes, a passion for journalism, and the ability to connect with people in a meaningful and warm way that fosters a sense of community. He came to Philly from Albany’s Capital News 9 where he was an anchor and reporter and mainly where he created, hosted and moderated Capital Tonight, a locally produced show that examines, in depth, issues and stories of political and local interest.. As an anchor, Brian has been at the desk for such breaking news events as the death of Pope John Paul II, the Ethan Allen disaster in Lake George and many more. As a reporter, he’s covered the sinking of the Stellamare and the capture of two suspected terrorists in Albany, to name a few. Brian has anchored live coverage from both national political conventions and moderated several debates.
