Megan Alexander

You see Megan every night as a Correspondent for the national television show "INSIDE EDITION", television's longest-running, top-rated and most-honored syndicated newsmagazine. She joined the show in fall of 2007 and covers everything from crime stories, the latest fashion trends and what the stars are up to. Megan has a knack for putting people at ease while entertaining and informing the public about the stories of the day. She lives in New York and has her pulse on the city and the world.
Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Megan’s first media experience came in a radio interview at the age of 5! Always a bit of an animated kid, she attended King's High School in Seattle and was actively involved with the performing arts and musical theatre, singing and performing with a group called "Living Faith".
She headed to Westmont College in Southern California and was elected Student Body President her senior year. Megan graduated with a degree in Political Science/International Relations. While in college she spent a semester at American University in Washington DC interning in the United States Senate, as well as studying the European Union abroad.
Her first broadcasting job began with a classical music station in Santa Barbara, and then she headed to the music city of Nashville, TN where she worked in radio varying from Christian/Gospel, Pop and Country Music. Megan debuted on television as an entertainment host on “Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17”. She has served as a traffic reporter for TV and Radio for the past two years, as well as continuous to host numerous variety and special events shows, including a teen show for LifeWay Christian Resources called "Fuel". While in Nashville, Megan was active in the country music scene and appears in Country Music Artist Josh Turner’s music video “What it Ain’t” on CMT. She also has a part in the independent film "Something to Prove."
In October 2004 Megan came to San Antonio and served as a Reporter/Anchor for the morning news and co-host of the lifestyle talk-show "Great Day SA". She also helped launch, produce and host the "Mi Casa Make-Over Show", flipping houses in low-income neighborhoods.
Megan is a regular contributing writer for INSIDE Business Journal and pens their "Business Coach" section. Megan emcees countless charity events and seminars around the country for organizations like the United Way, Girls Inc, The I Have a Dream Foundation, and HOBY. She loves working with youth and motivating them towards their career goals.
