Jerry Manuel

As the former manager for the New York Mets and Chicago White Sox, and a player for many years, Jerry Manuel is now bringing his baseball knowledge to the fans as a Baseball Analyst for the MLB Network. Jerry has made baseball his life and passion. He was drafted in the first round of the Major League Draft right out of high school, and went on to play for the Montreal Expos, Detroit Tigers and San Diego Padres. He then moved on to coaching. In 2000, he led the White Sox to their first Division Championship since 1993 and was named the Major League Manager of the Year by The Associated Press and the American League Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America and The Sporting News. After his time at the Chicago White Sox from 1998 to 2003 he moved to the New York Mets, where he was first base coach, outfield coach, bench coach and then in 2008 became the Manager, a post he held through the 2010 season.
