Comcast SportsNet anchor and reporter Julie Donaldson delivers comprehensive coverage of the day's top local and national sports stories for network's daily half-hour news program, SportsNite.
The newest member of the Comcast SportsNet on-air team, Donaldson joined the network in August 2010 after stops in some of the nation's top markets, including Boston, New York and Miami, where she covered the top teams, best athletes and the biggest stories for leading television stations.
Most recently, Donaldson served as a sports anchor and reporter for WHDH-TV, Boston's NBC affiliate, where her reporting covered the Boston Celtics NBA championship season, the Red Sox playoffs and the Boston Marathon. Prior to joining WHDH, she served as a reporter for SportsNet New York (SNY), covering the city's top teams and sporting events for two years, including the network's inaugural season on the air.
Donaldson began her career in Miami where she held a variety positions for FOX Sports, including FS Florida and FS South. She served as a longtime reporter for FS Florida's Sports Rap, hosted SEC and ACC men's basketball preview shows for FS South, and contributed to the network's national broadcasts as a sideline reporter for ACC Sunday Night Hoops.
Donaldson's other television experience includes serving as a host and reporter for the Miami Heat's "Heat TV", providing pregame and in-game coverage of the team, and worked as a producer and correspondent for Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, a documentary program that aired nationally on PBS.
A Florida native and graduate of the University of Florida, Donaldson was named Miss Florida USA in 2001. She is active in the community as a volunteer and advocate for domestic violence victims.
