Carol Perry

Carol believes that discipline, perseverance, and passion are the most essential tools for success. She developed a vigorous work ethic at a very young age -- by the age of five, she was appearing in commercials and performing in local theatrical productions in Los Angeles. This exposure to the entertainment industry and business of agents and managers paved the way for a successful career in talent management. Even though she was five, Carol knew the difference between a good “deal” and a bad one…her parents should have known then.

After completing her undergraduate studies at University of California at Santa Barbara, Carol sought a more challenging and diverse lifestyle. She found it in New York City where she attended Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, Carol explored the more traditional legal path by writing judicial opinions for the Department of Justice and contributing as an editor to a law school publication.

With her JD in hand and the bar under her belt, Carol hit the streets of New York. For three years she practiced as a litigator, and also represented artists and entertainers for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. It wasn’t long before Carol knew that managing on-air talent was her calling. Working as a TV news agent at The Conrad Shadlen Corporation in New York City, Carol quickly developed solid relationships in the industry, as well as a reputation for tenacity, and successfully managed a diverse and thriving client base.

As Vice President of News and General Counsel at If Management, Carol now manages talent and negotiates television and radio contracts at the network level, top thirty markets, and syndication.

Like everyone else at IF Management, Carol is an athlete. She has completed two New York City marathons and played basketball for the New York Women Lawyer’s League (talk about a tough group of women!). During her free time, she loves to cycle and play tennis. She currently resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her husband and son.
