A.J. Hawk and "Life After Football"

In a Players’ Tribune article titled “Life After Football,” NFL retiree A.J. Hawk provides insight into some of the challenges that follow retirement from the league. A.J. does not intend to fade away as some players do, opting instead to stay busy. In addition to spending time with his wife and four children, he will participate in charity events. This weekend he will play in the 28th Annual American Celebrity Golf Championship to help raise money for the Stowers Institute for Medical Research and other regional charities. He also has a podcast, appears frequently on Sirus radio, and calls various college football games as a color analyst. He continually studies the best analysts and sportscasters in the business, and attacks his future as a broadcaster "with the same drive he had for football."
