Vice President, Talent & Development
When Jeff would go to sporting events as a kid with his friends and family, everyone else ran up to the first row before the game to get some autograph of their favorite players. Jeff, however, would often try to sneak his way into the press area and tell the broadcasters how much he enjoyed their work.
Even as a child, Jeff admired broadcasters and knew it was something he wanted to be involved with when he grew older. So he did the same thing every aspiring broadcaster does as a kid — he turned the sound down when he was playing a video game or watching a game on TV and did his own play-by-play. Not long after, Jeff entered Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications with the dream of becoming a sports broadcaster fresh in his mind.
Jeff spent two summers in the Sports Department at WNBC-TV in New York City covering events such as the Stanley Cup Finals, NBA draft, U.S. Open, and the Belmont Stakes. He got a thrill getting out in the field and covering some of the most prestigious sporting events in the world and knew he had to be involved in broadcasting in his future endeavors.
As Jeff was exposed to more aspects of the broadcasting industry, a new passion developed. He genuinely took pleasure in working with his friends and classmates and giving them feedback on their broadcasting skills. Jeff and his friends would spend hours analyzing the work of their favorite SportsCenter anchors. It didn’t take Jeff long to realize he may have a future in this area of the broadcasting industry.
Jeff graduated from Syracuse with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and joined IF Management in October, 2005. As Director of Talent Development, Jeff gives IF’s clients valuable feedback on their work to help improve their broadcasting skills. Jeff also works actively in recruiting new talent to join to the IF roster, scouring the trade magazines, television and the Internet looking for the next big broadcasting talent.
In his spare time, Jeff is an avid golfer and die-hard New York Rangers, Mets and Giants fan. Away from sports, he cringes at the thought missing an episode of 24, Jeopardy! or Seinfeld. Jeff grew up on Long Island and now resides on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
